Public Toilets
We provide public toilets in all major towns in the district. They include accessible toilets for the disabled and baby change facilities.
Mendip District Council made a policy decision to invest in five toilet blocks of high quality facilities. The contract for ongoing cleansing and maintenance has been awarded to Idverde Limited. The toilet blocks are cleaned and checked twice daily, including sanitising door handles and touch surfaces.
The five blocks are located at:
Frome - Market Car Park, Justice Lane
Glastonbury - St Johns Car Park
Shepton Mallet - Commercial Road Car Park, Petticoat Lane
Street - Southside Car Park, Vestry Road
Wells - Union Street Car Park
Hours of opening
October to March (inclusive) 07:00 - 18:00
April to September (inclusive) 07:00 - 20:00
Reporting problems
If you discover a problem with a toilet block please report it to Customer Services as soon as possible; so that the maintenance and cleaning contractor can rectify the situation at the earliest opportunity.
