There's still time to return your Household Enquiry Form
As part of Mendip's annual voter registration canvass, residents across Mendip should have received their Household Enquiry Form (HEF) in July which asks them to check whether their information on the electoral register is correct.
The aim is to ensure the electoral register is up to date and identify any residents who are not registered.
Although many residents have returned their forms, there are still a number that are outstanding. The council is encouraging everyone to return their forms before the deadline on 22 November. Canvassers will soon be calling on properties where there hasn't been a response to the HEF or the reminder letter.
Anyone who wishes to vote, must be registered. To make sure you are able to have your say in any future elections, residents should respond to the HEF by following the instructions on the form, following this link www.mendip.gov.uk/annualcanvass or calling the number on their form.
It is important that anyone who has moved address recently, to look at the form and check whether they are registered.
