COVID-19: Your Business

If you are reopening a business there are a number of things you may need to consider to make sure that staff and customers stay safe.

  • Keep washing your hands regularly

Employers are able to use posters or images on digital channels or print to display in workplaces to show their employees, customers and other visitors, that they have followed guidance and are COVID-19 secure.

Moving around town will be different to normal, be aware:

  • there may be temporary changes to the High Street
  • do not remove barriers or go into taped off areas

Which Shops can reopen?

Not all businesses can reopen on the 15 June and some businesses may take the decision to remain closed. Some businesses plan to open for reduced hours or may plan to adapt to 'offer takeaway' or 'click and collect' services until they can 'fully' reopen. 

The list of businesses that are able to reopen on the 15th June:

  • hardware/homeware stores
  • fashion shops
  • charity shops
  • betting shops and arcades
  • tailors, dress fitters and fashion designers
  • car dealerships
  • antique stores
  • retail art galleries
  • photography studios
  • gift shops and retail spaces in theatres, museums, libraries, heritage sites and tourism sites
  • mobile phone stores
  • indoor and outdoor markets
  • craft fairs
  • similar types of retail
