Details of the Consultation
The Council is inviting responses to the Proposed Main Modifications (MM) to Local Plan Part 2. The Main Modifications form part of the examination process of Local Plan Part II ahead of the Inspector producing his final report. The schedule sets out additional policies, revisions to existing policies and new development sites raised during the Examination process. This consultation only relates to the Main Modifications, and relevant supporting documents and policy map changes. See consultation notice -
The Proposed Main Modifications have been produced in response to changes identified by the independent Local Plan Inspector.
These are set out in his post-hearing Interim Note -
The consultation will run for six weeks from Tuesday 21st January 2020 to 5pm Monday 2nd March .

How to Respond to the Consultation
Comments about the Proposed Main Modifications document, or the accompanying Sustainability Appraisal Addendum and Habitats Regulations Assessment, must be made in writing. We encourage you to use the consultation response form which will assist the Inspector.
The Council has also published an information note with the form to assist with making responses,.
Responses must be in writing and include your name and full postal address.
Responses will be published in full on this page before being passed to the Inspector.
Names will be included in the published responses but other personal details will be redacted.

The deadline for responses is 5pm Monday 2nd March
The Proposed Main Modifications may be revised and remain subject to the Inspector's consideration of responses to this consultation.
At the close of the period for consultation, responses will be passed to the independent Planning Inspector. He will then decide whether the plan can be found sound. Exceptionally, further hearings may be necessary. At the end of the examination process the Inspector will present his final conclusions in a report. It is expected that the Council will then adopt the Local Plan.
