Licensing
The Licensing Team at Mendip are responsible for administering and issuing licences, permits, consents and notices for Taxis, Street Trading, Animal Boarding establishments, Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 within the district.
The team are also available to offer advice over the telephone, face to face or e-mail. Should you require advice, please do not hesitate to contact us on licensing@mendip.gov.uk or by phoning 0300 303 8588, to request for an officer to call you back during office hours Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
General enquiries such as submitting applications and photocopying will be dealt with by the Hub staff and Council Access Points during their normal hours of operation.

The Gambling Act 2005 regulates all commercial gambling in England and Wales and includes the regulation of gambling premises, temporary use of premises for gambling, small society lotteries and remote gambling.
