This page sets out how you go about applying to be on Mendip's Electoral Register.
Register to Vote
Registering to vote is quick and simple. It will mean you have the right to vote at elections and being registered could also improve your credit rating. It is for person to register individually.
If you are eligible to register to vote or you need to re-register because you have moved within the Mendip District Council, you can do this online by clicking the link below.
Please note that you will be asked for your date of birth and national insurance number so please have this to hand.
The following people, who are 18 years and over are eligible to vote:
- All British, Commonwealth, Irish and other European Union citizens.
- Members of HM Forces and their spouses
- Crown Servants employed outside the United Kingdom
- European Citizens (but only in European and Local Elections).
- Overseas Electors (but only in Parliamentary and European Elections).
