Guidance for tenants, self-help tools, debt prevention and information on low interest loans.
The government has brought forward a package of measures to protect renters affected by coronavirus (COVID-19). For those privately renting (and those in social housing accommodation), this means they will not be forced out of their home. There is specific guidance on this as well as more general advice on landlords and tenants rights and responsibilities during the COVID-19 outbreak.
If you live in rented accommodation and are experiencing problems with the condition of your property (e.g. damp, mould, repair issues) you may wish to make a complaint. We will offer you advice and where necessary or ask your landlord/managing agent to undertake necessary repairs.
In partnership with Somerset County Council and Somerset Independence Plus, we provide a range of services to help our residents live safely and independently in their homes.
