Health and Wellbeing in Mendip

Health and Wellbeing is a combination of physical, mental and social factors. Being healthy and well for a lifetime includes much more than good health and care services; it also means not needing them.

This can be influenced by many things which include where you live, your income, education, lifestyle choices and interaction with your local community.

As a district council we have a role to play in improving the health and wellbeing of our communities. While we may not have a direct contribution to health and care services, we play a key support role in creating an environment that our community can flourish in. We also have a role in influencing and enabling other partners and members of our community to achieve outcomes that improve the health and wellbeing of our residents. The following links aim to support that.
