Financial help available to residents for improving home energy efficiency.
Green Homes Grant
Green Homes Grant vouchers of up to £5,000 and £10,000 are available to homeowners and landlords in Mendip to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.
The Government is providing vouchers that cover up to two thirds of the cost of improving the energy efficiency of your home. Available to both homeowners and renters. The maximum value of the voucher is £5,000 and some homeowners may be able to receive up to £10,000 with no contribution if a member of the household receives a qualifying benefit.

Residents may be entitled to Council grants and loans on top of the voucher scheme to cover contribution or for additional works. Further details and enquiry form below.

Energy Company Obligation (ECO) grants
Through ECO grants you could get some or all of the costs towards:
- loft or wall insulation
- installing a more efficient boiler
- boiler insulation
- draught proofing your house
- double glazing
- a different heating system
- solar panels
