1 CHAIR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS

· Please note the Council Chamber is fitted with a hearing loop and those with hearing aids should set their aids to the "T" position
· Fire: There is no fire alarm test planned so if the alarm sounds we will evacuate the building: Please leave the building by the emergency exits, use the stairs not the lift, and make your way quickly but safely across the car park to the assembly point which is in Collett Park.

6 QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS
Questions need to have been submitted to the Chief Executive 10 working days in advance of the Cabinet meeting to which they are to be submitted. All questions must relate to the terms of reference of Cabinet and actions taken by individual Portfolio Holders, in accordance with the provisions of the Council's constitution.
7 DISCRETIONARY ENERGY REBATE POLICY
A Discretionary Energy Rebate Policy needs to be approved to as part of the Government's Energy Rebate and Payment scheme.
8 EQUALITY OBJECTIVES EXTENSION
Mendip District Council (MDC) is required by statute to review and establish organisational equality objectives. Our existing objectives are due to end in September 2023.
9 APPOINTMENT TO BOARDS, COMMITTEES, PARTNERSHIPS AND BODIES WITH DEALING WITH EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS
This report requires Cabinet to confirm Member representation on the Boards, Committees and Bodies dealing with Executive functions, for 2022-23.
10 MEMBER DEVELOPMENT 2021-22
The report provides a summary of Member Development activity undertaken during 2021-22 and highlights suggested activity for 2022-23.
11 ANNUAL REPORT OF THE USE OF INVESTIGATORY POWERS PURSUANT TO THE REGULATION OF INVESTIGATORY POWERS ACT 2000 (RIPA) (AS AMENDED)
The annual RIPA report provides assurance to the Council and the public that the proper controls are in place to ensure that any covert surveillance carried out during investigations is undertaken properly and is necessary and proportionate to the alleged offence/s.
12 ANNUAL UPDATE REPORT ON SAFEGUARDING
This report is intended to provide an update on the safeguarding arrangements in place at Mendip District Council (MDC). It identifies the action plan and activities to take place over the next year to ensure continuity of our safeguarding arrangements.
13 THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE WORK OF THE MENDIP ONE-TEAM
The Mendip One Team is now in its sixth year of operation and has been cited by its participating agency representatives as a unique resource within the Mendip area for the timely exchange of relevant information.
