This meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, Mendip District Council, Shepton Mallet at 6.30 pm. Please note that due to COVID restrictions attendance will be limited.
Due to Covid safe measures the numbers of attendees who can be accommodated at meetings remains restricted. This is so that the available capacity can be monitored and access carefully controlled. 6 MENDIP LOCAL PLAN PART II - INSPECTORS REPORT
The report asks Cabinet to accept the Plan incorporating main modifications and minor/map changes and recommend to Full Council for adoption.
7 ESTABLISHMENT OF A JOINT COMMITTEE IN SOMERSET FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANSIATION
The establishment of a Local Government Reorganisation Joint Committee will help to ensure that the implementation of the new unitary Council for Somerset is carried out efficiently and that the related decisions of the five councils are collaborative, transparent and democratically accountable.
8 MEDIUM TERM FINANCIAL PLAN UPDATE
The current Medium Term Financial Plan covers the period from 2021-22 to 2023-24. As the start of the budget setting process for 2022-23, this paper provides an update on the current financial year and also on the key assumptions for setting the 2022-23 budget.
9 PROPOSED STRATEGY TO MITIGATE EMISSIONS FROM MENDIP'S AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
This report presents a recommended approach to the Cabinet for a collaborative strategy to facilitate the reduction and removal of emissions from Mendip's agriculture sector, in support of the Council's overarching Climate & Ecological Emergency commitment.
10 REVISED HOUSING ENFORCEMENT POLICY
The policy has been updated and renewed to incorporate legislative changes and ensure a robust approach is maintained.
