This meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, Mendip District Council, Shepton Mallet at 6.30 pm. Please note that due to COVID restrictions attendance will be limited.

Due to Covid safe measures the numbers of attendees who can be accommodated at meetings remains restricted. If you do wish to physically attend a meeting as a member of the public you must contact Democratic Services at DemocraticServices@mendip.gov.uk to register your attendance. This is so that the available capacity can be monitored and access carefully controlled. If you do not register your intention to attend in this way, you may not be able to physically access the meeting. 6 SAFER WASTE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT STRATEGY (SWIMS) 

The Safer Waste Integrated Management Strategy (SWIMS) encompasses the approach we wish to take to encourage the responsible treatment and disposal of waste by residents, businesses, and others within the district.

7 ENHANCING AIR QUALITY IN MENDIP (UPDATE REPORT) 

Air quality remains good within Mendip, nevertheless air pollution is associated with a number of adverse health impacts and as such air quality is recognised as a key public health consideration.  This report provides an update on progress of the air quality work programme since the last report (Cabinet September 2020) to meet the corporate priority commitment (priority Action CC6).

8 STREET TRADING POLICY 2021-2026 

Mendip District Council adopted a Street Trading Policy in 2016 with a proviso that it will be consulted on every 5 years.  This report presents the Street Trading Policy proposed for the next 5 years, following consultation.

10 AFFORDABLE AND SOCIAL HOUSING DELIVERY PROGRAMME

11 CHANGING PLACES - NEXT STEPS 

The Council's Corporate Plan includes extending the roll-out of Changing Places Toilets (CPTs) across the district, building on the ambition for one facility in each town.
