Understanding existing habitats at Saxonvale, Frome
With any new potential land development, a number of key surveys must take place before work can begin. This includes an ecological site survey to help minimise any impact on biodiversity and disturbance to habitats.
Contractors Balfour Beatty begin survey work from today (Monday, 5th October) at the Saxonvale development in Frome. Trees, river banks and waterways will form part of the four-week exploration.
Residents can be assured that contractors will conduct their work fully aware, and in observance of, the current COVID-19 restrictions.
This important work delivers on the Council's aim to build a greener, fairer and more vibrant Mendip, in particular our commitment to 'protect local ecology and find ways to enhance biodiversity'.
