Mendip resumes grass cutting - but is mindful of wildlife

Mendip District Council is resuming grass cutting on large, public open spaces.

The grass cutting season has arrived and the Council wishes to ensure people continue to use these spaces as part of their daily exercise, but in a safe way.

We will look to expand to other areas when it is safe to do so, and current restrictions due to the Coronavirus outbreak are lifted.

The Council is committed to preserving wildlife habitats across the district and will continue to protect these environments, while still maintaining safety for the public.
