April Restart Grants: Applications Close 30 June 2021

Criteria have changed from previous grant funding rounds, so please read the guidance notes carefully to check if you are still eligible to claim.
30 April 2021 - Update on Restart Grants
Thank you for your patience as we continue to process Restart Grants. Please note that following further Government guidance to Local Authorities later in April, we are now obliged to collect additional evidence.
Restart Grant applicants will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org shortly to request additional evidence as part of a new mandatory requirement. You will only receive an email once your application has passed the pre-assessment stage. Please note different Local Authorities have different data collection processes and therefore other local authorities may have other methods of collecting pre-payment evidence. For further information, please see FAQs.
If you are ineligible to claim Restart Grant, you may still apply for a discretionary grant if you are a non-rate payer (e.g. B&B paying Council tax) or have been severely impacted by Covid closures. Please see the section on Additional Restrictions Grants.
Additional Restrictions Grant - Round 4 Now Open
Closing deadline to be confirmed, subject to the full allocation of Government ARG funding.
Round 4 is now open for applications. Grant will continue to be processed until the full Government allocation of funds has been distributed. Please note that applications may close at any time. Submission of an application does not guarantee that an award will be made.
Local Authorities have been provided with discretionary funds to provide further support to businesses. Non-business rate payers, and business rate payers who are ineligible for Government Restart Grants, who can demonstrate they have been severely impacted by Covid restrictions and closures, may apply.
Final Round 3 applications are currently being assessed and outstanding payments will be made as soon as possible.
The first grant funding round closed on 18 December 2020, Round 2 funding closed on 19 February 2021 and Round 3 funding closed on 15 April 2021.
November and Jan-Mid Feb grants - applications closed 31 March 2021. Please note, a Government notice to Local Authorities was published on 29 April 2021 extending the payment of outstanding LRSG grants deadline from 30 April 2021 to 14 May 2021. This is to allow additional time for outstanding cases to be resolved by all Local Authorities.
