COVID-19: Changes to Environmental Protection
Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19 we are operating a reduced service with regard to statutory nuisance complaints such as noise, anti-social behaviour complaints, PPC inspections, the Out Of Hours Noise Service and Air Quality Monitoring.
We will, as far as practicable, investigate complaints but this may take a little longer than usual.
- Officers will no longer be carrying out face to face meetings either in the office or on site.
- Officers will risk assess whether a site visit can be carried out and if it is considered that a site visit will put the occupiers, or the Officer themselves at risk, then a site visit, and the decision, will be delayed until such time as one can be carried out.
Closure of non-essential businesses and premises
Where people believe that businesses are open in contravention of the closure regulations; they should report this to the council on 0300 3038588 or submit the online form under Useful Forms below. Officers from Community Health will contact the company and investigate. Opening in breach of the regulations is a criminal offence.
