6 COVID-19 EMERGENCY GRANTS AND LOANS
The Chief Executive is asked to exercise his emergency powers in connection with the approval of COVID-19 emergency funding.
7 COUNCIL TAX SUPPORT - COVID-19 HARDSHIP FUND DISCOUNT
In the Budget on 11 March 2020, the Government announced a national £500m Hardship Fund. The Government's expectation is that all working-age Council Tax Support claimants in 2020-21 can receive a further discount of £150. To achieve this the Government has provided a Fund of £742,410 for Mendip.
8 ANNUAL UPDATE REPORT ON SAFEGUARDING ARRANGEMENTS AT MENDIP
This report identifies the action plan and activities to take place over the next year to ensure continuity of our safeguarding arrangements.
9 THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE WORK OF THE MENDIP ONE-TEAM
The Mendip One Team is now in its fourth year of operation and has been cited by its participating agency representatives as a unique resource within the Mendip area for the timely exchange of relevant information.
10 REGULATION OF INVESTIGATORY POWERS ACT 2000 (RIPA)
The purpose of this report is to update Members on the Council's use of its Policies and Procedures in relation to RIPA.
11 CALENDAR OF PUBLIC MEETINGS 2020/2021
The draft calendar of public meetings for 2020/2021 has been prepared and is attached at Appendix A of this report.
12 MEMBER DEVELOPMENT 2019/2020
Members are supported in their role as an elected Member of the Council. Training and development is essential for both the newly elected and existing Members.
