Councillor Dick Skidmore, Chairman and Cllr Bryan Beha Deputy Chairman of Mendip District Council wish you a very happy Christmas.

Cllr Skidmore, said: "With Christmas fast approaching and people's schedules getting very busy as we move closer to this wonderful time of year, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Mendip District Council's residents and communities, staff and councillors a very happy Christmas and New Year.

"During the year we have spent time with some of the businesses that have their base in Mendip, it's given us an opportunity to see some of the wonderful businesses that we have thriving in the district."

Between them, the pair have attended in excess of 30 events across Somerset. Cllr Skidmore, continued: "I have attended a number of charity events across Mendip and further afield in Somerset and I've also had the privilege to attend several events commemorating the World War One centenary.

"Mendip might be seen as a small rural district tucked away in the South West, but we have some wonderful people, organisations and businesses working hard for the people in Mendip.

"I look forward to meeting many more people across Mendip in the New Year, but for now, I would just like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a healthy New Year."
