Due the insufficient number of candidates being received for 5 May election, the following elections were re-run:
Buckland Dinham
Great Elm
Ston Easton
Trudoxhill

The Government has set out its proposals for the election of 110 councillors for Somerset Council to be held on 5 May 2022. The Government is also proposing for elections to also be held on the same day for all parish, town and city councils across Somerset.

Section 39 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 requires that where there are insufficient candidates, the Returning Officer has to run another election within 35 days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) of the original date. This applies to the following Parish Councils:
- Buckland Dinham
- Great Elm
- Ston Easton
- Trudoxhill
