Apply for a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Licence.

You must apply for a licence as soon as your property becomes licensable or if you are purchasing it, as soon as you take control of the property.

Download the application form and save it to your computer.

Once you have completed the form and saved it, send it along with all supporting documents to PSH_Enquiries@mendip.gov.uk or by post to Private Sector Housing, Mendip Council, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5BT

Licensing fees and payments

The correct fee must be paid before your application is valid.  You can pay by either sending a cheque to the above address or by Icon for pdf BACS [169.58KB] 

Please note that the fees are currently being reviewed

Valid application

All the information required above, including a fully completed application form and fee must be submitted before your application is considered valid and complete.  Failure to provide all the information may result in your application being rejected and leave you open to enforcement action.
