  • Gambling Act 2005

    The Gambling Act 2005 regulates all commercial gambling in England and Wales and includes the regulation of gambling premises, temporary use of premises for gambling, small society lotteries and remote gambling.

  • Small Society Lotteries

    Lotteries are a form of gambling and those wishing to run them are required to ensure that children and other vulnerable people are not exploited by their lottery.

  • Gambling Act Notifications

    A premises licence holder of a public house that holds a premises licence may notify the Local Authority that they wish to have up to two gaming machines in the premises. The premises must have a licence to sell alcohol on the premises and a bar.

  • Prize Gaming Permit

    Prize gaming is gaming where the nature and size of the prize available is not determined by either the number of people playing, the amount paid for, or raised by the gaming.
