Quickstart (please reference against diagram below)

1) The main menu can be found below the top 'Mendip Adopted Local Plan Banner. This will take you to the main sections within the local plan. From here you can do a postcode search which will take you to the relevant map tile containing this postcode or give you the choice of more than one map tile containing a postcode.

2) Where maps cannot be shown in full on-screen, you are able to navigate around them by selecting your desired location using the small 'sectioned' map on the left. (see 2)

3) The map key can be found in the scrolling box at the lower left-hand side of the screen. From here you are able to access key references within the local plan. (see 3)

4) If you roll the mouse over the 'Reveal Indicative Postcodes' link, The map will reveal a diagram showing postcodes in the area. (see 4)

5) As you rollover notations, a balloon popup will appear confirming each one. If you select any of these, you will be taken to the relevant section within the Written Statement. (see 5)

6) When you select 'Written Statement' from the main menu, you are able to access chapters using a new menu on the upper left-hand side.

7) Any wording that is underlined and in blue, can be used as a direct link to other parts of the written statement or to individual map sections.

8) Use the browser window's scroll bars to view all information if you have a smaller monitor.

9) Please note that when exploring the map sections, if the mouse pointer turns into a hand with it's finger pointing, this area is active and when selected will take you to a more detailed map of this region.
