Mendip District Council has 23 Conservative, 22 Liberal Democrat and 2 Independent Councillors.
Harvey Siggs is Council Leader, with Nigel Woollcombe-Adams as Deputy Leader. Edward James is Chairman of the Council, with Damon Hooton as Vice Chairman.
Councillors (or "members") are elected every four years to represent all the residents of Mendip.
