Superfast Broadband

Connecting Devon and Somerset

Connecting Devon and Somerset is an ambitious programme bringing improved and superfast broadband to areas that would otherwise see no investment. It encompasses the six local authority areas of Devon, Torbay, Plymouth, Somerset, North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset and is funded by Central Government (£32m) and Devon and Somerset Councils (£21m), including a £42m investment from partner supplier BT.

Connecting Devon and Somerset will deliver broadband (greater than 2Mbps) for all and superfast broadband (greater than 24Mbps) to at least 91% of premises; both by the end of 2016, aiming for 100% superfast broadband coverage by 2020.

For all enquiries, suggestions and comments please email the Somerset & Devon County Council CDS Project team: broadband@devon.gov.uk
