What every Mendip business needs to know...GDPR - the facts

Mendip businesses are being encouraged to find out more about the forthcoming changes to data protection regulations and how it could affect them by attending a special briefing.

The event, which is being run by Enterprise Mendip, will look at the changes to the General Data Protection Regulation and include a presentation by Duncan Smith from The Chartered Institute of Marketing that will cover key facts about the new regulations and the various training resources available across the district. 

Cllr Tom Killen, Deputy Leader of Mendip District Council and Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, and David Byford from Strode College will also update delegates on economic matters in Mendip and developments at Strode College, before the event finishes with networking and a buffet.

Cllr Killen said: "The upcoming changes to the data protection act will have an impact on businesses of all sizes. This event is a must for Mendip businesses which want to find out more about how the changes to these important regulations will affect them and what steps they can do to be prepared."

The briefing session takes place at 6pm on Wednesday 8 November at The Studio in Strode College Theatre and is free for Mendip-based businesses to attend.
