A series of workshops and drop-in sessions are taking place over the coming months to give local businesses the chance to find out how to maximise their digital potential.

These sessions are a continuation of Enterprise Mendip's successful GROW with Digital programme, which was run earlier this year.

There will be a series of in-depth digital marketing workshops complemented by a new pilot series of drop-in sessions.

The Sherston Inn, Priory Road, Wells will host a monthly digital drop-in session on the second Thursday of the month from 5pm-7pm. Each session will have a different theme and features an expert in their field offering free, professional business advice on an informal, 1-2-1 or group basis.

The initiative aims to educate business owners, whilst creating a network of business support and growth in Wells.

The first session takes place on Thursday 12 October and is hosted by Kirstie Harris (Ideamaze / Wells Chamber) and will be covering social media marketing questions in a friendly environment.

The next session is on Thursday 9 November and is looking at IT-related questions, including connectivity, equipment, software and apps.

The final drop-in session takes place on Thursday 11th January and looks at branding.

Cllr Tom Killen, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Deputy Leader of the Council, said: "The free drop-in sessions and workshops are a fantastic way for businesses in Mendip to make sure they keep up to date with the latest digital developments, from marketing and branding, to blogging and automation.

"The Grow with Digital sessions held earlier this year proved very popular and if these new sessions are equally well attended, the programme will continue throughout 2018 and will be rolled out across the district."

Sessions are open to Mendip-based businesses and the first session can be booked via: Booking is strongly advised due to limited spaces.
