Tender Opportunities across Somerset

Hinkley Point C

The new Hinkley Supply Chain registration website is now live and businesses need to register on the website if they wish to be considered for tendering opportunities at Hinkley Point.

The Somerset Chamber of Commerce is managing the supply chain development that will deliver the Hinkley Project. The Chamber was asked by EDF Energy to be the single point of contact for business and agencies engaged in the construction of the project. This is a huge opportunity for Somerset and South West businesses to benefit from being awarded contracts for elements of this major investment, and companies are urged to register.

Energy companies could be investing approximately £40 billion in the UK over the next 20 years as they increase our new nuclear capacity . Of this £10 billion is being spent at Hinkley Point in Somerset between now and 2018. EDF Energy has said they view the new build at Hinkley as the showcase for this fast growing international market and are keen to engage with as many local and regional businesses as possible.
