All food businesses must have a documented food safety management system that details safe practices in the business to ensure food is produced safely. The Safer Food Better Business Pack (SFBB) is a pack produced by the Food Standards Agency to help small businesses comply with the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points(HACCP) requirement of food law. SFBB focuses on the 'Four C's'. These are: Cooking, Cleaning, Chilling, and Cross Contamination
There are two packs on Safer Food, Better Business - SFBB for Caterers and SFBB for Retailers:
SFBB for Caterers is not suitable for everyone and is only designed for smaller businesses such as small restaurants, cafes and takeaways.
SFBB for retailers is designed for independent traders who lack the support of larger multiple retailers, for example a corner shop with a chilled display.
